King Cnut held the waves back here, or tried too!
Quaint cottages with sea-defence doorways align the shore, small shops and café and a public house work in unison with the old church, village green and quay. Use caution if parking on the hard as when the tide comes in your car goes under!

Manmade, this area has quickly become a habitat of birds, butterflies and deer. Small sharks can be seen here too. Situated between Bracklesham and Earnley to the west and Selsey and Pagham Harbour to the east, Medmerry backs onto a shingle wall and the beach beyond

From watching racing cars and getting up (fairly) close and personal with pit crew and drivers they also lay on driving days where you can go out on the track too. Situated right in the centre of the circuit is the flying school so if planes and choppers interest you too...
Naturally, most people have heard of Goodwood's twice yearly events at the circuit. Very busy days in their own right, it is however a great time out even for those not interested in the cars. Fashion, clothing, food and much more make these fantastic family days out.
