It is one of the most stunning castles on the Dordogne. It is open all year and does lots of live reconstructions of medieval warfare in the summer months. Fascinating place, lots of history and a sure hit with children.

It is one of a kind. Topiary heaven in 30 acres of hilltop garden with some of the most stunning views of the Dordogne river and surrounding area. Great place for all ages, a train for the older folks, play area's, hidden tree houses, mazes and grottos for the children to discover. Plus a lovely restaurant serving salds and wonderful ice cream with original flavours I guarantee you have not heard of anywhere else! Thursday evenings the gardens are lit up by 1000's of tea lights. There is live music to discover as you stroll around after watching the sensational sunset.

A simple outdoors restaurant, all local produce and very reasonable prices. Ideal to take children, as you sit beside the lake, they can take a swim. Friday nights they specialise in Moules and Frites as much as you can eat and very good.
