BEST FOOD IN TOWN
I'm happy to share with you my favorite places to eat in Playa del Carmen. I'm including casual food as the Fogón Tacos (this is a must if you like Mexican Food) until a fine dinning to celebrate a special occasion.
This is the best local coffee & Chocolate shop in all Playa del Carmen.
You should try all the desserts and chocolate bars! This coffee shop is located 5 minutes walking from my condo!

This is the best place to have a fancy dinning, perfect for an special date or just to try the french/international cuisine. This is one of the best restaurants in Playa, if you want to get a reservation, I highly recommend you do it at least 2 o 3 weeks in advance.

Follow the smell of freshly baked bread and find their authentic French bakery on the 5th avenue! They offer typical French products like Baguette bread, croissants, pastries, sandwiches, quiches and salads. Try their specials of the night, to pare with a glass of wine: cheeses and cold meats platters, terrines, vol-au-vent and their savory & sweets crepes! Natural products, 100% homemade, high quality ingredients and lots of love...!
If you want to try it for breakfast go before 10:00 AM!

This is an institution in Playa del Carmen, the restaurant was built over 20 years ago when the town was nothing more than jungle. You can still appreciate a small river stream that connects throughout the interior and into the jungle garden, beautiful place!
Everything is fresh and natural including homemade rye bread, salsas & jams, fresh fish and salads. Even the tortillas are made fresh! It's the perfect place to start your day (Huevos Rancheros are a must)! La Cueva has been known for its fabulous breakfast and recently opened for dinner.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Playa!
The restaurant is clean with a warm feel to make you feel comfortable. The staff is very helpful and you should be able to get some help in English if your Spanish is not up to par.
The menu is extensive with a selection of salads, pastas, and pizzas. We never get to try enough food at one place but some of the pasta dishes coming out of the kitchen looked very delicious. And don’t forget dessert like the one in the photo. Warm chocolate lava cake with ice cream! Don’t worry you can walk it off on 5th Avenue after dinner.
I recommend you always make a reservation for this restaurant!

The restaurant is clean with a warm feel to make you feel comfortable. The staff is very helpful and you should be able to get some help in English if your Spanish is not up to par.
