Food scene

Literally over the road. This review says it better than i could. The Mayfair Classic with cod was absolutely incredible. At £16.25, it is surely more than the average price paid for fish and chips, but the quality is worth the price. You can also build your own Gin & Tonic. The Hayman's London Dry is a favorite with Mediterranean Tonic garnished with cucumber and rosemary.

Again literally over the road, Next to the Mayfair Chippy... Excellent Dropped in for a quick lunch, hadn’t booked. Service, food, atmosphere, staff, location all excellent simply couldn’t be faulted. We’ll go back for sure

Again 2 minutes away... Fabulous Cocktail Bar! Here's Kimberley review. " I'm pretty much obsessed with this place and I hope they make their way to the States in the near future. The bartenders were super friendly and put so much care into every drink. My favorites were the Butterfly Effect and The Beehive but honestly, every drink was delicious! And you cannot beat their insane happy hour prices. Thanks for a great time guys!"

FREE! The Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street is a unique public space that spans three storeys and offers 360 degree uninterrupted views across the City of London from floor 37. Visitors can wander around the exquisitely landscaped gardens, observation decks and an open air terrace of what is London's highest public garden. And it's FREE.

London Street Markets

Dating back to the thirteenth century, this historic food market (London’s oldest) is a sprawling cornucopia of gourmet goodies. It’s best to visit Borough Market on an empty stomach so you have room to snaffle samples of the bread, cured meats, cheese, olives and pastries on offer. The market used to mainly highlight British produce but nowadays you can find a global smorgasbord of traders. My tip is a Coffee at Monmouth.

There is a lot going on in this market! A heap of lovely looking and smelling food vendors line a few of the walkways. Food from across the globe is available. There are stalls/vendors selling clothes/jewelry/food/beauty products/collectibles/coffee etc. Plus restaurants and a pub with a very inviting indoor beer garden. Perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon.

‘Famous for fish’ & an Essex legend since 1958, Smith’s Brasserie is now peddling its piscine wares just a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge (spectacular views guaranteed). Like its elder sibling in Ongar, this outlet focuses on sustainable seafood, with a familiar, user-friendly menu that hauls in everything from sardines & scallops to salmon & skate. Lobsters & crabs also figure prominently, alongside plates of deep-fried calamari with garlic mayo, monkfish meunière, & halibut steak with brown butter & capers. Meat eaters & veggies have their say with the likes of roast rump of lamb or warm goats’ cheese on beetroot salad, while puds could feature Brit standbys such as Eton mess or Bakewell tart. Plenty of fish-friendly wines are on hand to seal the deal.
