The secret is most places in Portland have a special cheeseburger that usually is not on the menu - you have to ask. Mount Tabor
Large park nearby with trails and great views of the city.
Just off of I-84 about 30 minutes east of Portland, this is one of the most scenic waterfalls on the entire west coast. We nearly lost this beauty last summer due to wildfires, but the firefighters put in everything they had and were able to save the forest immediately surrounding the falls and the historic lodge.

International Rose Test Garden
400 SW Kingston AvePortland is the rose city! This place is a must see and if you have extra time the Japanese Gardens are next door. With over 10,000 different rose bushes, this beautiful park in the western hills of the city pleases both the eyes and the nose. The roses bloom regularly throughout the spring and summer.
At 5,200 acres, this is the largest park within any U.S. city. It gets very popular in summer, especially on week- ends, so if you want to check it out be prepared to embrace the crowds.
