“Iydea” in the Lanes - Vegetarian main courses with a choice of sides and toppings, in a cafe setting with big windows. (Quite packed sometimes though – you can usually go get a drink at “The White Rabbit” across from them and still eat their food at the pub’s outside tables, if no room.) 17 Kensington Gardens, Brighton BN1 4AL. They also do a cheap takeaway deal at the end of the day, where they box up all leftover food. Really fresh and delicious usually.)

You might like the “Temple Bar” near Taj specialty supermarket, past Waitrose supermarket. It has a “Lucky Beach” version of pub food that is delicious. There is another version of this on the seafront, but its sometimes hard to get a table there.

You may need to book ahead, but this is the bomb for an amazeballs fancy meal with friends. Check their site for prices as its in the upper echelon, but if you're only here for a little while, it is a nice special treat.

Ping and her team do a mean, lean cheap and funky Chinese cuisine scene. Really close to us and if you're in the mood, its pretty freakin' good. They deliver or you can eat canteen style there or do a quick takeaway.
