From beginning to end there are dramatic views of scenery & the Cook Inlet. At the 140 Acre Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, jaws drop in awe- even those of long time Alaskans. Your shuttle will take you directly to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where you can witness Alaskan Wildlife up close. Your journey to include a 1-hour visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center begins with a custom tour of Turnagain Arm and is a treat you won't want to miss. On the way to the Wildlife Center you will be traveling through the Chugach State Park down Alaska's most scenic highway.
Highlights you will see in addition to wildlife:
- Beluga Point - A popular photo stop for possible opportunities to see Dall Sheep & Beluga Whales passing through. It's luck of the draw. They will do their best to sync you up for a once in a lifetime rendezvous with these enchanted creatures of the land & sea.
-Portage Glacier- You will see Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier, Byron Glacier and take a walk through a Rainforest. Next grab a snack or a meal to enjoy on your ride back to Anchorage at Portage Day Lodge.
-Potter Marsh- Is one of the most accessible & scenic wildlife viewing areas in Anchorage. About half way along the boardwalk, Rabbit Creek flows underneath and provides a good spot to see spawning Chinook, Coho or Humpback Salmon from May to August, depending on the species. Moose also frequent the marsh year round.
-Alaska Wildberry Products- See the worlds largest chocolate waterfall! The store hires locals to pick "Alaska Berries" to make into the wonderful delights. You can also watch the workers make these delights through the glass wall. At the chocolate display case there is a tray of sample chocolates and if you did not sample the item you wanted to try just ask because they want to satisfy.

Beautiful fishing town about 2.5 hours south of Anchorage. You can take a fishing charter out into the sound for Halibut, Ling Cod, Rock Fish or Salmon if they are running. The town is charming. I love to go visit there personally.

Homer is a quaint fishing town... It has a bit of an Artsy Community and is just beautiful to visit! You can take planes out from here for Bear viewing or a Chartered boat for Halibut and Ling Cod fishing. The drive is about 6 hours south of Anchorage.

Kenai and Soldotna are both good towns to be in if you are here to fish the World Famous Kenai River for King Salmon, Red Salmon, Rainbows, Dolly Varden or Grayling. It just depends on the time of year. The two towns are only 10 miles apart.

Lake Hood Seaplane Base is a State-Owned seaplane base located 3 nautical miles southwest of the central business district of Anchorage in the U.S. State of Alaska. There is a gravel strip for planes that have tundra tires and the lake is for the planes to land that have floats on them. We like to grab a bite to eat and drive over to the lake and watch the planes take off and land on the lake every once in awhile.
