Sightseeing

Take a nice stroll around Dorthy Lake. In the summer you'll enjoy a teaming ecosystem with Osprey nesting overhead, Blue Herons fishing off the logs, and native Western Painted Turtles mulling about the dock, where you can catch minnows. It is about a 30 minute return walk from our place, depending on pace and detours along the way.

The best view of Invermere is from atop Mt. Swansea. A short drive from Invermere, this view can be had with just a 15 minute hike from the upper parking lot. Mind that the mountain road requires a high-clearance 2WD vehicle. Details here: https://columbiavalley.com/mount-swansea/
