206 Bay AveThe Seaside Nature Center, in Cape Henlopen State Park, is open daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the day after Labor Day to mid-June; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from mid-June through Labor Day.
The Nature Center contains five 1,000-gallon tanks with local fish, a touch tank with marine invertebrates and exhibits that explain the different habitats within the park. Don't forget to take a look at the live Osprey Cam from April through August and shop the Nature Store.
This nature center looks unassuming from the outside, but is a treasure on the inside and a great family activity on a rainy day. Kids and adults can learn about the Cape region nature and animals.

There is a fee for daily parking during the summer season. Surf fishing, sunbathing and surfing are available on this long stretch of beach. Parking can become challenging after 10am. We recommend driving to the southernmost beach access, which is called Herring Point. Explore the WWII towers on your way. It's a great lookout spot. There's also a fishing pier worth checking out on the north end of the park. (follow the signs)
Of course the hiking and biking trails are also extensive and a great activity for seeing birds and wildlife and the beautiful native habitat.

The ferry runs back and forth from Lewes, DE to Cape May, NJ multiple times each day. It's only about a 45 minute ride across the bay and a nice day trip to check out the Victorian beach town of Cape May, NJ.
Grain 'On the Rocks' is located at the Lewes Ferry Boat Terminal. You can watch the boats come and go and see the lighthouses in the distance.
