There are a bunch of companies around that will be happy to charter a trip for you! We’ve done both canoeing and kayaking (you can take your dog in the canoe!). They’ll provide a shuttle and equipment; you just need to bring along snacks, drinks, towels and sunscreen! Check with these outfitters for different packages and a calendar of when the rivers are gentlest and/or raging. There are periodic dam-release weekends from April thru October when you’re guaranteed some serious whitewater!
