Sightseeing
This park is located along the San Gabriel River, and is one of the more beautiful places to take a swim in the Georgetown area. The park has picnic areas, restrooms, and wading areas, and is the perfect place to take the kids on a hot summer day. The park is clean, safe, and relatively quiet even on the more popular swimming days of the year (although parking can be tricky on these more crowded days). Great dining options are right around the corner and the Bonner Trail is steps away.

The Inner Space Caverns is one of the best preserved caves in Texas, hidden underneath Highway 35. Once inside, there are several caverns ranging from extremely small to cathedral-sized, filled with stalactites, stalagmites, and all kinds of beautiful rock formations. Tours are available every 20 to 30 minutes on a first come first served basis and will cost you less than $20 per person (and about half that for a child). It’s definitely worth seeing, especially if you are a nature-buff.

Inner Space Cavern

It’s a great place to spend the day visiting antique stores, wineries, jewellers, museums, or the theatre before indulging in some southern style food.
