Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers. 100% all-natural Angus beef, vegetarian fed, humanely raised and source verified. No hormones or antibiotics – EVER. We pride ourselves on sourcing incredible ingredients from like-minded artisanal producers.

Neighborhoods

Built in 1922, the Country Club Plaza is one of this country's architectural and cultural treasures. J.C. Nichols chose a Spanish theme for the Plaza that included beautiful courtyards, red tile roofs and ornate towers. A number of promotions began during the Depression as a way to generate business and attract customers. 1930 marked the first year of the Plaza Lighting Ceremony. The Plaza Easter Bunnies made their debut in 1931. The first Plaza Art Fair began in 1932. The Plaza has evolved and many celebrated national stores joined the unique local shops. The entire 15-block district, with more than 120 shops and dozens of fine restaurants and cafes, makes shopping and dining an enjoyable pastime. The Plaza is kept lively with a year-round calendar of special events, including the famous Plaza Lights and the widely recognized Plaza Art Fair. It is understandable that nearly 100 years later, the Country Club Plaza is still the Midwest's premier shopping and dining destination.
