Nancy Thomas amazes me with every meal. She has resturants in Great Barrington and Williamstown and each never fail to disappoint. It is a drive and a bit pricey, but a lovely spot for a truly wonderful taste of the Berkshires.

Just Pizza, but the best pizza in Central and North Berkshires. Delivers and has specials on it's website. Thin crust, and if you request it, they will exchange pesto for the base tomato sauce.

Hanging with the College kids or sitting with a pint and watching one of three sporting events is your perfect night out, walk just a few blocks over to Spring Street and pull up at the Purple Pub. They have food, fried and with lettuce so settle in for the night.

It is so beautiful and they have several options for hiking up the mountain. Bascom lodge serves a great pancake breakfast on top, and if you are with a family of early risers, this view is not to be missed.

Describing this as a beach is like describing Cape Cod as the hook of Massachusetts. Yes it is a hook, but come on? What about the Kennedys? Margaret Lindley is a shallow sweet little lake that is almost a pond. It has an adorable beach type area and some benches and children. But mainly it is an experience of 1950's watering hole with a layer of impossibly wholesome. If you are jaded and here for a cleanse, add this to the list.
