If you’re looking for a great steak, burger, or chicken fry, this is the place to go. They usually have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s also located directly in the depot if you want to go out and enjoy some of the bars during your stay.

The Funky Door’s claim to fame is their massive wine selection and taster bar. They also have great bartenders for cocktails and an impressive menu selection of upscale entrees. If you’re looking for the perfect date night, take a stop here.

In our opinion, this is the best pizza in Lubbock by far. Everything is made fresh in-house and they have an impressive selection of craft beers on tap and in bottles. Service can be a little slow at times due to high kitchen demand but the wait is totally worth it. Grab a box and take the rest home for a late night snack. Highly recommended!!

Capital Pizza

Evie’Mae’s is rated in the Top 10 for Texas BBQ. It’s only open for lunch and early dinner but if you get the chance, stop here. You’ll likely wait in line for 15-20 minutes, but there is free beer available while you wait and the BBQ is worth the wait. If you are really hungry, try the beef rib. It is MASSIVE!! Their desserts are 100% gluten free as well. If you have a large group and want to feed everyone, Evie-Mae’s has great catering packages as well.

This park has an awesome lake that runs through it, plenty of sight seeing, and great mountain bike trails all still within the city limits.
