Heading up to Hurricane Ridge is wonderful for hikers and non-hikers there is something to see and do for everyone. I reccomend heading up before 10 am or after 3 pm if you want to avoid crowds and long lines at the entrance station. the trails are very busy also from around 10 am until 3ish

Chestnut Cottage is a local favorite! They have delicious breakfast and lunch. They also have really good baked goods and pies.
