Victoria Street, which stretches from Abbotsford to Richmond, is the Vietnamese hub. It’s difficult to know where to eat with so many great smells wafting from the shops, but Thanh Ha 2 (number 120 Victoria Street Richmond) is one of our favourites.
Tip: order the banh xeo tom thit (Vienamese savoury pancake).

It’s hard to believe you are in the city, as you are surrounded by hills and greenery, set by the meandering Yarra River. There is a Twilight Supper Market on Fridays during the summer, and you can combine this with an outdoor movie until the end of March in one of the convent’s courtyards. There is also the year round accredited Collingwood Farmers’ Market on the 2nd Saturday of the month, 8am-1pm.
