Grapevine has become the Christmas Capital with all of its wonderful parades, and festivities. In addition to the Wine Tasting Festival in the spring they have added a Fall Beer Fest complete with live music, carnival rides, arts and crafts tents. Don't miss the train rides or the arts district with blown glass. There are so many events that take place in our parks and recreation areas I would be amiss to name them all, here are a few. Ball parks, soccer games, dog parks, sailing, paddle boards, skid dos, fishing, camping, Seasonal events for families....

Fort Worth has two of the countries best Art Museums in the country. The Kimball and the Modern, both near down town Fort Worth are well worth your time. Traveling shows and the permanent collection will not disappoint your need for a great art fix.

I moved to Dallas because they were building the DMA. I have had plenty of opportunity to explore this icon of the city. Thousands of students visit there yearly as a part of the Art Program which I participated in for a number of years. As an art educator venues for training and think tanks for getting programs established are a memory I cherish. So go and see some of the great Impressionist's or have a glass of wine and listen to some free jazz during their Fridays Nights Live. DMA is a home away form home.
