Ljubljana's largest and most beautiful park. The park, covering an area of approximately five square kilometresis crossed by three grand horse chestnut tree-lined walks and landscaped with ornamental flower beds, interesting trees and numerous statues and fountains. The park area blends into the slopes of the Rožnik hill, to which it is connected by several walking paths and a trim trail with several exercise stations along its length. Tivoli Park's scenic Jakopič Promenade (Jakopičevo sprehajališče), designed by the architect Jože Plečnik in the central part of Tivoli Park, has become a well known outdoor venue for exhibitions of large-format photographs, open throughout the year.
At the end of the Jakopič Promenade you'll find the international center of graphic arts. At the beginning of the Jakopič promenade is Ljubljana Museum of Modern Art. The last one is dedicated to modern art in Slovenia while the international center of graphic arts at the end of promenade has a collection of over 3,600 fine art prints, 800 artists' books and numerous other art publications.

Park Kodeljevo is a park next to the University for sport. The Closest park to the Apartment. There you can find basket court, summer pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, fitness center etc. and of course some playgrounds for the children.
The park features the Kodeljevo Castle and a nice Pizzeria restaurant under 100 years old trees.

Park Kodeljevo is a park next to the University for sport. The Closest park to the Apartment. There you can find basket court, summer pool, tennis courts, volleyball court, fitness center etc. and of course some playgrounds for the children.

Ljubljana Castle is Ljubljana main attraction. As such it shades it's park located at the opposite side of the hill starting with the 100 years old tree avenue.
You can reach the castle by a funicular or on foot. Both the funicular and a path to the castle begin at the Ljubljana Central Market next to the tourist information point.

The park's name, Špica, translates as 'pointed tip' and refers to the embankment's pointed shape. In the past, Špica was a town beach. Due to its pleasant green surroundings and a large area paved with wood, it still attracts numerous residents and visitors wanting to bask in the sun on fine weather days.

I recommend this place because I have already sent my guests here and they were very happy with their food as their services. The restaurant operates since 1776. Their prices aren't high but the food is delicious. Place worth a visit.

Sightseeing
On your way toward the Ljubljana Old Town from the apartment you'll already pass a few sightseeing points. The first two will be the statue of architect Maks Fabiani and the Museum of Contemporary art known as Cukrarna opposites it. Along the way toward the Old Town you'll pass by the Ljubljanica river barrier. Ljubljanica Sluice Gate. Further below you'll see a Dragon Bridge which is also the beginning of Central Market. Tripple Bridge and Prešern Square will follow. Throughout this journey the Castle can be seen on the hill on your left ;)
A Dragon Bridge was built in the beginning of the 20th century, when Ljubljana was part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. As one of the best examples of reinforced concrete bridges and of the Vienna Secession style, the bridge is today protected as a technical monument. It is also one of Europe's earliest reinforced concrete bridges.
