Walk, ride bikes, roller blade or just sit by in one of the many parks along the Mount Vernon bike/running trail goes from Rosevelt Island to Mount Vernon (George Washington's Home and Estate) - it's a quick 5-10minute walk (8 blocks) from my front door to water and trail - Starts at Oronnoco Bay Park
