Like 14th street NW, the H Street NE is also becoming chic and famous. Great restaurants are being added to this street. It also has a light trolley from the stop near Union Station.

It's the french restaurant - I like its outdoors seating. Inside is pretty as well. I usually sit on the stool and order. So I would suggest that you make reservations early (opentable.com).

Rent a red bike for 24 hours, $7; and you have to bike for 30 minutes and drop it off at another station... and then wait for 5 minutes before you can use it again for another 30 minutes... then do it again within 24 hour frame. Great alternative to cab taxis -- wear a helmet.
