One of favorite spots nearby. take a quick subway trip over to brooklyn and try out Diner. It has amazing food, great atmosphere and perfect service (oh, and organic). worth the trip!

a beautiful park, but unfortunately, not open to the public. still, it's a beautiful area, so i recommend walking around the park and checking out some of the buildings around it.
