The trails at Eagle Mountain Park are some of the best you will find in North Texas. These trails aren’t made for biking, but are instead for hiking, walking, and sometimes running. The Eagle Mountain Park trails are well maintained and are mostly between 5 and 10 feet wide. The trail system in this park is about 5 miles long with six distinct trails.
Wildlife are abundant throughout the trail system. You will also find picnic tables, benches, water fountains, and sometimes restrooms. You will also see some of the most beautiful views of Eagle Mountain Lake that you can find anywhere.

Visitors can experience a variety of water features as they wander through this relaxing urban plaza. The park features three pools of water: the aerating, the quiet and the active pool.

Right across from the Zoo, this little village is a hidden gem. There are 11 buildings along a cement walking trail. Each building is wheel chair/stroller accessible. Costumed guides (not actors) are available throughout willing to answer any question or assist with demonstrations. One day we attended, country crooner Bob Sawyer was singing cowboy folk songs and entertaining guests with lots of cool information and stories. The bathrooms are centrally located and very clean. The Seela Cabin is very hands-on for kids to play with period-style toys (mostly reproductions) inside and out. Beware of the water pump - younger kids MAY get wet. There is a little photo-op wagon nearby. We were able

One day we attended, country crooner Bob Sawyer was singing cowboy folk songs and entertaining guests with lots of cool information and stories. The bathrooms are centrally located and very clean. For as big a place as it is, their staff has an excellent knowledge of where to find this thing or that. It's easy to get lost in the aisles for a couple of hours.
