I'm sharing some of my favorite places, hidden gems, and giving a little insight on some of the more popular or well-known places. Hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have any questions!
This is located on Ski Run Blvd, near Heavenly's California Base Lodge. Honestly, I lived in Santa Barbara for 10 years and still spend a lot of time there, and I am a little snobbish about restaurants. I feel like we have a lot of good pub food in Tahoe, not a lot of good food, or good dining experiences. But I think Cafe Fiore is great. It's small, and intimate. Nick is the owner, and a great guy. Good wine list. New York Times reviewed.

I feel like everyone who comes to Tahoe should go to Red Hut at least once. It's so Tahoe! The one on Ski Run Blvd is more "modern," larger, and includes an ice cream parlor. The other locations are in old, beat up buildings. The food is great. Walk in, don't look at a menu, order "The Usual" and feel like a local!

The Red Hut Café
3660 Lake Tahoe BlvdI feel like everyone who comes to Tahoe should go to Red Hut at least once. It's so Tahoe! The one on Ski Run Blvd is more "modern," larger, and includes an ice cream parlor. The other locations are in old, beat up buildings. The food is great. Walk in, don't look at a menu, order "The Usual" and feel like a local!

Located in Heavenly Village, which makes you think that Driftwood has not be around very long, but Driftwood was in Tahoe before Heavenly Village was in Tahoe. They moved in from their old location when Heavenly Village was built. Very popular spot. Often a long wait, but worth it. I love the Carolina Connection for Breakfast.

They moved in from their old location when Heavenly Village was built. Very popular spot. Often a long wait, but worth it. I love the Carolina Connection for Breakfast.
This is a locals place and you'll love it. You can walk here from our house. Brian is the owner. They also have tasty sandwiches and a menu that is way more interesting than typical bar food. They often have live music, so check out their Facebook page or ask around when you drop in.

you have to try Standup Paddle! This is the place to do it! The owners -- the Brackett Family -- are friends of ours. Tell them you're staying at Clark and Monica's house!

This shop is a little bigger than WattaBike in Meyers. Also a great shop with great bikes and bike mechanics.

I am an avid road biker and mountain biker. This is where I go for everything bike related. It's located in Meyers just a few minutes from our house, and if you need to, you can drop your bikes off here and walk back to the house. They have worked on my bikes, bikes for my kids, bikes for my wife. They've boxed bikes for me when I have flown internationally, and helped me put them back together when I've gotten home. Great bike shop. The owner is a guy named Kent who is originally from Bangkok but has been in Tahoe for a long time. Go in and tell him that Clark sent you!

Watta Bike Shop

Baldwin Beah is amazing! Our family has been going here for years. When I was in my early 30s and my kids were little, we'd spend 30 days a year here -- playing in the lake and then going into the stream that feeds into the lake to catch tadpoles. When you pulll into Baldwin Beach, as you approach the beach there is lots of parking to the right and the beaches are wide open on that side. If you go to the left, there is less parking but that's the side where the stream. Depending on the water level, the steam is also fun to kayak or paddleboard up with lillypads, dragonflies, and views of Mt. Tallac.

We love this park! During the summer months there is a weekly Farmers Market every Wednesday with food trucks and live music. Great playground for littles. Fishing at Lake Baron. Disc golf. Or go for a walk along the trails.
