Best breakfast spot in town. You will not be disappointed. Everything is amazing, but as a general rule I recommend the Shrimp and Grits or any of the pancakes.

For those who want some great New Orleans food, but want a good financial deal. This is some of the better New Orleans cooking I've had and it's budget friendly. We locals eat here so you know it's good. I highly suggest the fried green tomato and shrimp remoulade po-boy

This is a Caribbean restaurant and one of my favorites. I basically always order the Pepper Pot or the Taco Trifecta (make sure you look at the taco menu at the back of the menu).

This place looks run-down, but is run by the best people I've ever met. The owners are Filipino-Americans and this corner store has both amazing Filipino food and some of the best Po-Boys in town. The owners are quick to help out local community members, and are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet.

If you are looking for a gay friendly bar with good looking people, excellent food, and reasonably priced drinks, this is definitely the place to go and often missed by many tourists since it is not on Bourbon street itself.

If you want to see local wildlife in one of the most beautiful nature preserves in New Orleans, this is the place. Not for the faint of heart because you will likely see large insects and alligators as well as bird, amphibians, and lizards.

City Park is massive, so I suggest reading up on some of it's features before deciding where to go. There are restaurants, an amusement park, art museums, and you can go fishing and kayaking on the bayous that fill the park (you can rent kayaks near the New Orleans Museum of Art)

Audubon is massive and I suggest you research what you would like to do there before arriving so you don't get overwhelmed. The park includes our amazing zoo and tons of beautiful trails to walk or run through.
