This is a long-time Seattle Staple. Built in the in the 1940s. My mother-n-law remembers going here as a girl! Awesome Fish & Chips and famous Ivars chowder. good lunch stop before walking the lake

On sunny days, it feels like most of Seattle is here walking their dog around the 2.7 mile loop, It is a preserve for hundreds of species and plants as well as birds and waterfowl. Surrounding the lake and the track, there are basketball courts, boat rental facility (paddle boats, row boats kind of thing), wading pool, playground, tennis court, beach, woods, soccer, baseball and a pitch and putt 9 hole par-3 course. Nearby (all around) are plenty of restaurants and cafes. Or good for picnics!

You'll find flying kites, picnics, frisbees, cycling, and the place to see July 4th fireworks!
Great for smaller kiddos in the summer months. Cool off in this large wading pool on the north end of the lake!
