Here plan ascent of Lochnagar on Royal estate....or the option of 7-8 miles round the loch with a pic-nic. Beautifu/ atmospheric and a real highland glen drive in. There is a charge at the car park!

A nice shiny new visitor centre and many lovely walks along old drove routes or to Mt Keen. Lovely old pine forest and a few capercaillie nest here. Yes red squirrel too..no greys here!

A truly memorable meal to be had here but booking is required. A modern take in a period building with a lovely lounge, where you can enjoy an aperitif and a wee canape.

The Boat has good pub grub described in a rather Scottish touristy twee way. Fish and chips always good. It is a good option to walk to from the house. You need to book especially at the weekends.
