I've listed this as a shopping mall, and it's a very large, fantastic mall. Concord Mills Mall is a nearly 1.4-million-square-foot shopping mall located in Concord, North Carolina.
But it also has some great recreation, like Dave and Busters, and Go Karts! The Speedpark at Concord Mills offers racing entertainment for thrill seekers and race fans of all ages. Attractions include Go Karts, Mini Golf, Monster Truck rides, Spider Jump and Web.

5000 Whitewater Center PkwyIf you like white water rafting, you'll love the US National Whitewater Center. It is the training center for several Olympic water sports. Carowinds is a wonderful amusement park for the whole family. Throughout the park, you will find all sorts of rollercoasters, so unlike me if you love that kind of thing, you will be very happy here! There's also a section for the younger adventurous ones and for tiny tikes.
Now, if you want a good scare, Carowinds becomes "Scarowinds" at night from mid-September through October. I hear from my son and his friends that this should not be missed!

Now if you love real Mexican food, this is about as close as authentic as you're gonna get in the Charlotte area.
There are several La Unica's in the Charlotte area. Two that I have dined at many times and can personally vouch for are:
Indian Trail location - I flagged this one on the map because it's not as far. But the one in Monroe at 1621 Walkup Ave # F, Monroe is even more authentic - it's just further out.

I took my extended family (a party of 15) to the Heist Brewery for brunch one Sunday morning at around 11am. They have a fantastic assortment of foods - everything you see at the best brunch spots. It's hopping, so if you are with a group and want to sit together, get there close to opening at 10am.

I took my extended family (a party of 15) to the Heist Brewery for brunch one Sunday morning at around 11am. They have a fantastic assortment of foods - everything you see at the best brunch spots. It's hopping, so if you are with a group and want to sit together, get there close to opening at 10am.
