A great place to get away from the stressed world. Excellent for a couple (with child) or an individual who loves the simplicity, purity and silence of nature. The house includes an open kitchen and living room, a 11 m2 mezanine for sleeping, an outside shower, compost toilet in a 5000 m2 forest garden with granit boulders, natural structures, sculptures and chillout places.

Our cottage is a perfect base to explore the real rural Portugal, walking, birdwatching, swimming in lakes and rivers, meeting the locals and seeing the traditional way of life. Enjoy the tranquil setting with a glass of wine, and/or have a BBQ on your own private patio overlooking the garden and surrounding hills. We have recently made available a 2.3 meter square plunge pool at the bottom of the garden where you can cool off with a glass of wine whilst being one with nature.

Sardinheiro sits in its own large plot in the trees,on the outskirts of a small village. There is a large lake 5 mins walk away, where you can swim, fish, canoe, or sunbath. We have a lovely pool, a volleyball court, and there are endless beautiful walks through the woods and vineyards. The nearest town is 10 mins drive away, and there are some well stocked supermarkets, as well as local stores.
