Somehow they turned a defunct laundromat into the sleekest bar on Haight Street. But it’s more than a bar. Black Sands runs the gamut from early morning coffee and pastries to late-night burgers and beers brewed on-site. There’s even a home-brew supply shop if you feel inspired to whip up some ales of your own. The breakfast torta with chorizo and guacamole has de-grogged many a groggy weekend morning for yours truly.

Super popular local brewpub that works for any time of day: - Daytime: it’s a bright space serving coffee, baked goods, beer, and weekend brunch at outdoor seating. At night, it’s a trendy and crowded bar where you can grab cocktails and craft beers.
