Place to eat
Interesting restaurant in restored historic house in Santo Antônio. Serves excellent authentic Bahian country cooking (try the galinha caipira!). Moderate prices. No sign with name so note number! Music some nights, call first.
Everything is tasty here. Everything. But do keep an eye on the maniçoba they serve. It's wow! But there's pork in it. A lot of pork in it.
A bit tricky to find as there are no signs outside and it looks like any other historic house. Once you find your way inside it'll be worth it. Sunday live samba or jazz bands in the garden are our favourite.
This is an under-the-radar bar (they purposefully don't even have a sign outside) that serves cold beer and good food. Inside, it's a cross between a museum and a flea market: full of treasures!
“Every Thursday night they have really awesome ska. The bar usually gets so packed that it ends up being more of a block party.”
“Good for food but also coffee or an evening drink. It has a great vibe and stunning views. It is perfect for sunset drinks or dinner. Price / quallity is very good. ”
“The professional folk dance company. The performances take place from Monday to Saturday (except Tuesday) at 20h.”
“Open during lunch and dinner time. Nice cafe style, beautiful decorated and nice food. ”
