A great day out. A walk along the river finishing at Petersham Nursery Cafe (it is a restaurant not a cafe). One of my favourite days out in London. The food and service is always amazing and it is located in a greenhouse in the middle of the nursery.
Take a boat down the Thames to this hugely popular eatery - must book in advance.
A charmingly casual yet sophisticated restaurant, set within a glasshouse. Brimming with bougainvillea and fragrant jasmine, draped with Indian blinds and decorated with antique furniture, mirrors and paintings. Respecting the Slow Food philosophy, the Café serves seasonal, Italian inspired food.
This is a great little café and restaurant set inside a plant nursery. It is best to visit on a sunny day and if you are nearby visiting Richmond or Richmond Park.
“Tucked away beside the river in Richmond-upon-Thames, the Bingham Hotel In Richmond is one of London’s most unusual boutique hotels, or ‘restaurant with rooms’: A Georgian town house overlooking the Thames, the Bingham Hotel is a chic retreat for romantic getaways, a gourmet bolthole for gastronomic experiences”
“Syon park is host to syon castle and a huge array of nature and scenic fields. Lots of activities to do from Snakes and Ladders amusement park for kids, to the spa's they have, to the animals present there.”
“With polo grounds in Richmond, only eight miles from Hyde Park Corner, Ham Polo Club is the last remaining polo club in Greater London. Founded in 1926, Ham has an established and distinguished reputation now over 90 years old. Known for excellent playing and social facilities combined with a relaxed family atmosphere Ham Polo Club is well worth a visit for any polo fan.”
“A small surprisingly unknown café in the middle of Terrace Garden. Great place for Mums and Dads to have a coffee while the kids run around. Also perfect for hiding away on a rainy day.”
