Place to eat
Pollen Tea Room
A favourite cafe of mine ....a hidden gem located in historic Battery Point. Small with courtyard garden. Great locally sourced fresh food ..loved by locals. Consistently good coffee and teas.
You will feel a bit healthier and a lot more grounded walking in to this wholesome café, anticipating the seasonal, local, and wherever possible, organic produce. Seating is limited and hotly contested. Get the avocado on toast.
“'clean eating' ... vegetarian, gluten free, low and no refined sugar great coffee Day hours only”
“Lively, welcoming drinking spot with a pretty outdoor area and even an old bus to take seat in. ”
“Another of our favourite snacking places that was forced to move thanks to a fire - and chose to move much closer to us! It may have been the "In The Hanging Garden" arts precinct that attracted The Standard, an American-style burger joint, to its new location though. Check the operating hours but it's generally open very late. ”
“Hobart has no shortage of incredible bookshops and Fullers is an award-winning independent bookseller that has been operating for more than 100 years. A great place to browse, with a cafe within, Tasmanian books are prominent.”
