Expansive geological park featuring hiking trails & wildlife amid cone-shaped tent rock formations. Hike through narrow slot canyons to a spectacular view of the Rio Grande valley.
This is about 45 minutes southwest. It is an exceptional hiking experience. easy, mostly walking, not too long, but has very unique rock formations. Several movies have used this site.
Taos for the scenery and fun and hiking and Tent Rocks for the close hiking in a very close and beautiful setting.
Sometimes describes as stepping into a Dr. Suess book, this is a natural wonder that is worth taking the time out to see.

This hike is about 40 miles south of Santa Fe. The views are incredible and the hike isn't too strenuous.
Breathtaking natural formations dating back to the volcanic period helped form this distinctive region. Well worth the 30-40 minute drive to experience. Be careful on warm days.
