South Shore Park
One of the many parks on the lake. There's trails, benches, and a beer garden!
Great park in Bay View with a beer garden and amazing views of the lake and the city. One of the best farmer's markets in the summer.
Simply gorgeous. Some of the best views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline. They have an awesome farmer's market on Saturdays, a playground and a lakefront path.
“Located at the intersections of Kinnickinnic and Lincoln Avenues in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee, this unique cafe provides an open view of the daily work at Troubadour Bakery as well as an opportunity to grab a loaf of freshly baked artisan bread. Come check out the innovative water management features, plenty of patio seating, custom swinging seats, and sheltered, vertical bike parking for intermodal commuters! Our patio also offers a one-of-a-kind bike vending machine supplied by our friends at Vulture Space Community Bicycle Project.”
“This is a favorite of ours, locally roasted coffees, full espresso bar, bakery and a true neighborhood hangout. They also have a working pizza oven and it smells great!”
“A must see and historic building! Catch a movie in this beautiful venue. Dinner and a movie? Visit the amazing and attached Mistral! Built in 1929, the entire theater is styled with a Spanish motif. That old-world elegance won’t be lost with the renovation. The lobby elements are being restored to their original grandeur, while new, modern elements will enhance the historic character. The unique ceiling in the theater, which used incandescent bulbs to mimic a night sky, has been updated to use LED lights and fiber optic light cables configured to look like Granada, Spain. While I toured the theater, representatives of the Neighborhood Theater Group gave a demonstration of the ceiling, including the ability to the launch two shooting stars towards the screen.”
“Huge beer selection from Belgium and other places, good food, huge weekend brunches. Very popular.”
