A restaurant that believes in sustainable farming practices, seasonality, and knowing the stories of the growers. Highly recommended.
Voted best date restaurant. Their food and wine is all locally sourced from Vancouver Island and well prepared. A little pricey but well worth it.
Putting it in the drinks category, because they have EPIC cocktails. Some of the best in the city. I'd recommend one, but the menu is always changing. Just go sit at the bar, chat up the bartender and they'll make you something amazing!!
This is my favorite restaurant in Victoria. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. I would make a reservation no matter what day, but especially on the weekends in the summer. It can sometimes book up weeks in advance.
“Just a few doors down, right on the water. Great beer, food and live music on the weekends. The patio in good weather is one of the best.”
“Jam Cafe is one of Victoria's busiest breakfast/brunch spots. Long lines can be seen at 9am, but the trick is to come when the turnover begins. Inspired by recipes from the south, their menu also includes a collection of family home style recipes that have been shared and passed down over generations. Needless to say Jam Café has options that can satisfy the most discerning of appetites. Their ever changing rustic and vintage decor adds to the warmth and welcoming atmosphere in our family-owned eatery.”
““Historic building with local vendors offering gourmet foods, handcrafted goods & live entertainment.””
“Bar & eatery serving ribs, sandwiches & regional craft beers in a rustic space”
