Maple Street Book Shop
Maple Street Book Shop is celebrating 50 years of serving the book lovers of New Orleans! We specialize in new, used, and rare books. Special orders are always welcome. Come visit New Orleans's oldest independent book shop, where we "Fight the Stupids!"...
Wonderful local book store with new and used books. They also offer a great collection of local and regional authors.
Actually 2 shops in a pair of 19th century buildings; the left hand building houses the new book store, and the right hand one has used & rare books and specialty items. A local favorite since 1964.
Local, small, good selection. Cooler of drinks on the porch. Lots of shopping on Maple St to check out.
“Modern Lounge with an amazing courtyard, great drinks and a classy atmosphere”
“Fantastic Mediterranean that you'd walk right by; make sure to try the homemade bread.”
“This is an excellent local restaurant with an incredible menu including seafood, steak, vegetarian, and salads. They bake fresh bread and deliver to you when you sit down, with garlic butter!”
“WATCH THE GAME -Bruno's has been an institution in New Orleans since the days of Prohibition. This friendly pub caters to students and is a stellar choice for watching any sporting event. Great moments in local sports history, from Tulane's perfect season to the Saint's first division title, are immortalized on the walls. There are TVs for watching and games of shuffleboard, darts or pool to be played. Choose from 20 drafts and plenty more bottled beer along with some of the best bartenders in town. Besides the usual pub fare, try the Boudreaux fries”
“There are a number of interesting little breakfast and lunch spots on this stretch of Maple. I just ate at a Thai/American breakfast fusion place that was lovely. Also a starbucks and some bars ”
