Lovely lovely posh pub just by Hampstead Heath. Big garden and lovely (if a bit expensive food), as well as ancient, cosy, interiors for a lovely afternoon/evening.
Busy 16th-c pub next to Hampstead Heath with charming garden - flagstoned walk among roses, side arbour with climbing plants and plenty of seats on crazy-paved terrace (arrive early weekends as popular with dog walkers and families); attractive and characterful low-ceilinged rooms with oak…
A former coaching inn, right on the edge of Hampstead Heath. Go for a slap-up roast lunch and then walk it off by strolling onto the heath as soon as you're finished. Great outdoor beer garden - in summer, the world and their dog can be found here!
This is a real special pub. If you make it to Hampstead its worth a stop. On the road to Highgate Spaniard's Inn has been there for hundreds of year at one place making the road narrower and slowing the rest of us but we don't mind. Great terrace and great food.
“Our nearest park and period house which has a nice cafe. They host concerts and art.”

“A beautiful historic pub with excellent food and drink. Sit outside in the garden on a nice day, it's quite a treat!”
“A local tearoom with London-wide appeal, High Tea of Highgate sets itself apart from other local spots by virtue of its nostalgic charm. Crockery and cute kitchen knick-knacks are for sale and waitresses bustle around with pots of tea and healthy portions of British bakes. There’s no set afternoon tea menu, but you can piece together your own (apart from the sandwiches) with scones, chocolate buttercream sponge, lemon drizzle or lavender cake among those on the menu. ”
“Slap-bang in the centre of East Finchley, this pub has a covered outdoor seating area and a separate dining room serving modern takes on pub classics, all done to a high standard. ”
