Towering cliffs, ancient caves and sheltered gorges are highlights of this park, which preserves a valuable remnant of the Brigalow Belt, Aboriginal freehand art and varied habitats for wildlife.

Cania Gorge National Park is a must for everyone to visit. Located 72kms (1 hour) from Bloodwood Cabin. Follow the Burnett Highway en route to Monto and you'll see the signs. This is a perfect place to hike, picnic and take in the local history. This region was once home to the famous Cania township where early settlers fossicked for gold and began an agricultural community. The Cania Dam is also a good place for fishing and water skiing. Please observe restrictions where fire and drought may limit choices made when visiting here.
