This is a consistent winner for great chefs and legit food. It's as basic as 2 rooms with tables and a bar at front. No decor theme or recent renovations. It's a little more $ but the free homemade bread and thought out menu keep the reputation year after year. Closed M/T/ (possibly W:-)
Make sure to get in early, as this place doesn't take reservations, but it is well worth it! It's a local love!
Amazing restaurant halfway between Charlottesville and Crozet. Great Virginian food.
This fine-dining establishment never fails to impress us when we have an occasion to celebrate. It is small and very busy, but chef Laura Fonner delivers amazing meals.
Casual fine dining, locally owned for over 30 years. Favorite restaurant of the property owners. Friendly experienced wait staff. A real local vibe. Try the mussels!
“Award winning coffee (and tea) and home made pastries all in a historic building in the heart of Crozet. Sit back and relax while you sip your drink in one of the comfy leather chairs. ”
“The nuns make gouda right there at the monastery and sell it from their shop.”
“Terrific local smoked meats (they started as a hugely popular smoked ribs and pulled pork food cart in Charlottesville on the Downtown Mall, then moved to Crozet to open a full restaurant). Terrific pulled pork and chicken... also try the baby back ribs or the brisket!”
“A gas station and convenience store with a good deli counter. Their burgers are always fresh, their blt is perfect, and the breakfast biscuits are great to grab in the morning. The beer and wine selection is also good.”
