Zoologischer Garten Köln
The Cologne Zoological Garden features over 7,000 animals of more than 700 species on more than 20 hectares
Colognes zoo is especially known for its big elephant house and always a hit with kids. The day can only get better if you take a trip to Rheinpark on the other side of the Rhine with the cable car that starts at the zoo. From there you'll have an amazing view over Cologne.
The Cologne zoo and the aquarium - why not going there wehen staying longer in Cologne?
Cologne has a very close relationship to the Zoo. It is placed in the centre and is known for the elephants house. Almost any animal you could wish for is living a hopefully decent life there. Good for a long walk, interesting for almost everybody - it is quite expensive for a family visit, however…
“The chocolate museum educates about the history of chocolate and displays the production of chocolate from the cacao tree to the finished product. And of course, you can taste the chocolate as well.”
“Since its establishment in 1957 as the first European cable car to cross a river - in this case, the Rhine - the Cologne cable car has carried millions of passengers. The views are, of course, the big draw, particularly those of the Old Town and Cologne Cathedral. For more great views, a visit to Cologne Telecommunications Tower is worthwhile. Located northwest of Cologne's Old Town, Colonius, as it's known locally, is 243 meters high with a superb viewing platform and a revolving restaurant. KölnTriangle, a striking contemporary building on Ottoplatz, also has a panoramic viewing platform.”
“My most famous park in cologne. With a very nice cafe from April to October.”
“It is at Neumarkt, there you will find all major clothing brands (ZARA, H&M, Appelrath&Cüpper, Peek&Cloppenburg and many more) as well as numerous shoe retails...”
