For over 43 years The Grog has been Newburyport's place to meet for the best in food & live music.
Closest restaurant to the apt. Just take a right out the door, and The Grog is down a block on right.
"Everyone meets at The Grog!" Homey, local atmosphere with great food, drink, and live music.
Long time pub is a Newburyport classic. Can't beat the $1 oysters offered daily, dozens of beers on tap and a full menu.
A restaurant with nightly music on the lower level - a 15 minute walk downtown on Middle Street.
This a great place for lunch dinner or for just drinks. Atmosphere is lsimilar to an English pub & the is food good and prices are reasonable. They also have a live band after 9 pm on weekends.
“Take a tour. Great way to spend an hour getting to know Newburyport's Maritime past. Sweet little gift shop.”
“Good food places, stores and two coffee shops located in this complex. Great book store too!”
“Sit at the Pizza Bar, Randy likes Clam Pizza and Maureen likes Meatball Pizza! A lot of other food choices here so not ready Italian but they have a brick oven pizza so we like their pizza. Great Sunday Brunch with Bloody Mary Bar!”
“The most wonderful nature walks thru woods, old estate properties and along the Merrimack river.”
“Once a meeting place between American Indians and early explorers from England, France and Holland, Market Square was used to trade furs and fish back in the 1700’s given it’s closeness to the Merrimack River. This all came to an end in 1811 when Market Square was destroyed by a major fire. As part of a 20-year HUD Urban Renewal Project the brick structures were rebuilt, giving Market Square a Federalist charm that now spotlights its beautiful 19th century architecture.”
