Voted best Brunch in Connecticut! The food is out of this world and so memorable you will be coming back just to eat here again!
“ANNA is the owner and proprietress of this amazing little gem in the heart of Westville featuring a South American spin on traditional favorites. Delicious food, homemade pastries, freshest salads, yummy juice bar, and art filled walls make this the perfect little spot to eat and enjoy!”
“Fancy brunch in a casual environment on weekends, although there is usually a wait. Good lunch during the week. ”
“West Rock State Park is large with some gorgeous trails to the top and along the Ridge that will keep you exploring for years! It is a Hot Spot for birds as they breed here and to pairs of Peregrine Falcons call it home year round. Ravens nest here as well as numerous other birds, so it is pristine habitat, with Wintergreen lake an easy flat hike and views fro the South end parking lot on a clear day can go clear across to Long Island, NY. ON weekends in the summer you can drive up. The REGICIDES TRAIL to the North takes you to the Historic 3 Judges Cave, where you can see the place where the 3 Judges, Whalley, Goffe and Dixwell hid after they fled from England. Google it!”
“Located right across the street from The OASIS, Edgewood hosts a Farmers Market every Sunday (Spring-Fall), it just recently was designated an Urban Oasis because of the birds and habitat. Its one of the best Hot Spots for birders to see some pretty rare birds in season. The new Skate Park is hip for watching urban boarding, it has biking trails, hiking trails and a great cafe across from the parking lot: MANJARES for an amazing meal, coffee or pastry. ”
“Rudy's was relocated and revamped after 75 years of being the best dive bar in town. The new location is cleaner, has better interior design, and an expanded menu, but the fact that it is no longer a dive bar is also a disappointment to many. I don't go here for the service, the food, or the cocktails. I come here for the decent-to-good beer selection, a baseball game on the TV (note, this is NOT a sports bar and the TVs are not invasive) and the company. So this bar may not be the bar for you, but I'm recommending it for those special bar flies out there that don't want anything too fancy and enjoy other bar flies. Don't go on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday nights when they have karaoke/DJs.”
