The Grey Cat
I tiny, quirky place right across from the National theatre. Offers a solid brunch. I highly recommend "Trukkurinn".
They only serve breakfast/brunch. The owners are artists and it is filled with books and artwork. And only 4 or 5 tables. But their "Truck" is the best ever breakfast whether you are hungover or just hungry.
Trukkurinn - the best breakfast if hungry. The coffee is not good there though.
this is a secret spot.. shhhhh. this is a small coffe shop that seats 16 at most I think. it has a great breakfast/brunch , and icelands best coffee (the surroundings might have something to do with that) books on shelves and a nice place to hang out if you are waiting for rain to subside or the…
Amazing café owned by an artist couple and the place is decorated with their pieces. Best for breakfast or lunch since it opens at 07:30 and closes at 15 (the pan closes at 14). Great pancakes.
The Grey Cat is a nice café for early birds located just across from the National Theatre.
“Visiting the Art Deco-infused Mokka Kaffi is like stepping back into the 1950s. In fact, this cozy little place was one of Iceland’s first coffee houses, and is still run by the same family that started it back in 1958. It hasn’t changed much since then”
“A very lively French themed bistro which we love to visit again and again. ”
“I really like this place. They have daily fish specials during lunch. It's a great place to go for a quick affordable and tasty meal during the day. Staff is wonderful.”
“These guys serve seriously good coffee. A place where you drop in for a quick coffee. No seats :)”
