Great Mexican food, good quality, and very inexpensive. The Guacamole is unique and to die for.
Really delicious Mexican food, and almost always packed with college kids. Ridiculously cheap, so I take my wife here on dates. Get the aztec soup and the tacos.
Best. Mexican. In. Memphis. It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth it. The guacamole never lets you down and their chips are fantastic.
“A quaint coffee shop that sells artisan goods from around the country. City & State on Broad Avenue is a hybrid concept that combines Intelligentsia pourovers with over 40 brands of timeless handcrafted goods, ranging from blankets from an American Woolen Mill that’s been weaving heirloom pieces for over 100 years to cutting boards from third generation woodworkers in Tennessee. City & State practices this attention to local and sustainable business with food and drink items as well; the Smokey Salted Caramel Latte’s sea salt is made in state, while baked goods like the brown sugar cinnamon roll are sourced from Porcellino’s on Brookhaven Circle.”
“A favorite among students at the University of Memphis, this small coffee shop is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, surrounded by modest homes near the city’s public university. This shop, a project developed through Mid-South Christian College, offers patrons a chance to give back as they enjoy their morning cup. Each month, the Avenue picks a different charity to which to donate a portion of its proceeds. In keeping with its mission of supporting local, the Avenue uses locally roasted beans from Reverb Coffee for its drinks and flavored lattes. Desserts range from pecan pie to orange cranberry muffins to ice cream. But they also have a bit heartier meals.”
“My favorite breakfast spot in Memphis. The coffee is great. Potatoes are awesome. Arrive early and expect a wait. It’s worth it. ”
“If you love cocktails and great craft pizza, this is the place for you. Make sure to order the SideCar and Thunderbird 40 Twice!”
“Succulent ribs (the *best* in Memphis) great sides and fantastic desserts in a fun atmosphere with friendly waitstaff. Tip: order the ribs “dry” and add BBQ sauce if you want, but you won’t need it. They’re that good!”
