The Restaurant at the Boonville Hotel

It’s in the Boonville Hotel, and if ever you have a chance, go eat there and spend the night if you can. It’s owned by Johnny Schmidt. His mom and dad owned the French Laundry before Thomas Keller—they sold it to Thomas Keller. And he is an oyster lover. If you are experiencing California and go past Sonoma and are on your way up the coast to Mendocino, take Highway 128, stop in Boonville, and hang out here. On Sundays they do a paella night, and they do an oyster bar. I would definitely hit that.
Great food and ambiance. During the warm weather season, sit outside in their gorgeous outdoor area. Sunday night fresh oysters and Paella night. Reservations recommended.
Great setting, lovely seasonal garden seating, family friendly, food is unpretentious and straight forward.
Fine dining. Local organic product. Tranquil setting. Beautiful patio and gardens. Keep an ear open for their music events in the Shed across the street
Grocery or Supermarket
“Almost a full grocery store with many options to choose from and a great deli / meat counter in the back for sandwiches, fresh fish and cuts of meat.”
“a downhome (read: informal) local family restaurant. Good casual fare, local wines and beers, and a real local feel. Try it out any night, but make sure to try Monday nights for “Libby’s night” (Libby’s was a well known Mexican restaurant in the neighboring town of Philo that closed but Libby still shows up here on Monday nights to cook for the town.) ”
“Foresight Wines (14475 CA-128, Boonville, CA)– at the east end of Boonville, just as you enter the town on your left is a lovely family-owned small batch winery which makes its wines sustainably. Amazing Sauvignon Blancs, light whites and Pinot Noirs. These are award-winning wines and Joe in the tasting room is an absolute wealth of knowledge on wine-making in general and the Anderson Valley terroir. Tell Kristy and Joe we said hello! ”
“Perfect lunchtime place in between wine tastings. Make sure to stop by Smith Story and Drew while you are there.”
