This little market has the cheapest and best poboy sandwiches in town. Grab one, and walk across the street to the levee and watch the boats go by! Open Monday-Saturday.
Don't judge a book by it's cover......one of the best Po-boys in New Orleans.
Locals know that many times, the best place for good, fast, cheap eats is the local convenience store! This one certainly fits the bill. Great poboys and picnic supplies for dining on the levee watching the ships!
Want a fried shrimp poboy? Call in your order and go pick up...my favs are the shrimp, the catfish and the hot sausage!
Corner grocery with hot bar in the back. It's nothing fancy, but you can get a whole loaf Roast Beef Po'boy and a six pack and walk to the river to enjoy a nice prelude to an exciting night in the Quarter
“This beautifully restored library is one of the very first Carnegie libraries built in the United States and hosts frequent events such as book discussions and signings with local authors.”
“Historically significant building, amazing artists at work, gift shop, blow your own glass events”
“Catch a game on TV and a bite to eat. Bar food and some of local New Orleans’ favorite dishes like po’boys, red beans and rice, and jambalaya.”
“If you like to get drunk but in a classy sort of way, check this place out. It's nice and cozy with a great wine selection and food. It would be suitable if you want to eat light or just have something to keep your wine buzz in check.”
“Historic bar with a stage for live music performances most days a week. Well-priced drinks and frequent movie and television filming here...check out where movies like “Ray” and television shows like NCIS New Orleans are filmed.”
