This is a great wee coffee shop which we love going to. Its a short walk away and serves great coffee and food.
A fantastic all day coffee shop/bistro where you can enjoy a great variety of popular breakfast dishes, excellent baked goods and pastries, delicious and good value lunch meals, smoothies, ice cream and more. We love it for brunch and lunchtime offers are great with £4.50 for soup and generous…
They have really good food, I especially like their pancakes at the weekend for Brunch. They can be a bit slow with service but the food and atmosphere are worth it.
“Leith's own park, just a minute's walk from the flat. Perfect for picnics or an afternoon amble.”
“Everything about The Compass is superb. A personal favourite of mine and is a nice wee gastro pub presents the most beautifully exquisite food and offers a delightful array of drinks to match. The ambience is chilled, and just plain hip. Consider this a perfect spot to meet up with friends.”
“Beautiful bar with excellent food - highly recommend the burger and fish and chips. Very well known and loved bar in Leith”
“Amazing coffee, cakes and sandwiches. Quirky, welcoming, family run place where everyone knows everyone. Not to be missed!”
“Royal residency and armory of King James I. The building would be restored by Queen Mary in her reign & later becomes a plague hospital. Granted to Bernhard Lindsay in 1613 by King James VI, bestowing upon him the right to reconstruct the building and keep four taverns on the site. Complete with ghostly presence in the basement this building has stood in the heart of Leith for almost 600 years.”
