Jonah’s Restaurant & Boutique Hotel

There’s a sense of being on retreat at this exclusive cliff’s-edge restaurant, 50 minutes north of the city. It’s a place where hand-holding couples come to ignore the spectacular view over Whale Beach, in favour of gazing at each other. After your meal, take your digestif and snuggle up on a terrace couch, listening to the sound of waves below. Leaving the hustle of the city behind often gives people more perspective on life, which can be the perfect way to find the headspace for new conversations and possibilities. Jonah’s relatively remote location makes it a favoured spot for proposals—take note!
My personal favourite place for a special lunch. Spectacular views and equally stunning food, wine and service.
If you want a restaurant with a view - Jonah's is it. Fine dining; stunning views, with a price that goes with it. If you're after a treat or celebration, book yourself in.
If you want a complete treat, head up to Jonah's for a cocktail on their superb balcony, or dine in the award winning restaurant
For a special occasion. I suggest a drink on terrace in the afternoon. Not really suitable for children.
“Lovely restaurant and bar, friendly understated and beautiful. Food and service is fantastic too. Great vibe. Good for a couple or a large group. Lunch and Dinner only. Beautiful views and sunsets.”
“The service is very friendly, the views stunning, it is on the beach and the food and coffee are good.”
“A beautiful spot for breakfast or lunch. The tuna crackers my favourite. A good wine and beer list. If its busy you have to line up to order which is a pain. Worth the wait. I would recommend early morning or late lunch if weather is beautiful. watch the sea planes come and go from here.”
“Drinks with a view. Casual dining or make a reservation at Bert's for a special occasion. Stylish&cool place to visit. Great food and drinks.”
“A 15min walk to the lighthouse, beautiful 360o views, whale watching in the winter months. guided tours available on the weekends. stop in the boat house for lunch or breakfast.”
