This place has been around for like a century and feels like it. It’s like an old general store, but they sell excellent produce from the local farms, have a nice butcher in the back, and make sandwiches in the back that people like.
Retro store, unchanged since about 1940. Delicious organic produce- the best of the best- and many unique and exotic groceries.
“Peet's started in Berkeley, and the Domingo Avenue shop is one of the original locations. Best to go at mid-morning, especially on weekdays.”
“This iconic bell tower is on the UCBerkeley Campus, featured in old postcards and most of the College's websites. Dating from early European-influenced architecture and liberal arts ideals, It offers both hope and directional perspective while orienting yourself on the campus or in the city at large. ”
“A great breakfast and lunch spot. There are specialty menu items and a great staff. Expect to wait if you go on a Saturday or Sunday morning. There's a community table, and a couple of places to sit outside under an awning.”
