About 30 mins from the apt, this is an octagonal rest stop and observation point overlooking the Columbia River and Cascade mountains, built in the early 1900s. Restrooms, gift shop and coffee are found here. Take historic Route 30 for a drive that winds through the rainforests of the Pacific…

If you are planning on going to Multnomah Falls, go here first. Between Vista House and Pittock Mansion, you'll have all the views of Oregon (and Washington!) that you could ever dream of.

Roughly a 45 minute drive from us. If you are going to visit Multinomah falls or be around the Columbia river gorge area just east of Portland this is the best spot to check out the view it is beautiful on clear days.

The drive there is beautiful and when you arrive, you will find the view is unmatched. Come prepared for some wind so a scarf or hair tie may come in handy.
